My Holy Grail Mask.

I was shopping at iherb.com last month(my favorite shopping site) when I came across Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. I was intrigued to purchase it as it promised to be the "World's Most Powerful Facial". I also read the reviews on iherb and found that people are raving about this mask. I instantly put the Aztec Clay in my cart and bought it.

This mask is made up of 100% Calcium Argile which is a natural green clay. This is a form of aged volcanic ash containing minerals. Aztec Clay has the ability to detoxify skin , it absorbs impurities and toxins from your skin leaving your skin clean fresh and fully recharged. It removes impurities from your pores and provides a deep pore cleansing facial.

The instructions on the mask suggest mixing it with equal parts of raw Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) and/or water. 

It is a known fact that ACV is used vastly for its health benefits ie weight loss,detox and many other uses. ACV is also really beneficial for your skin as it acts as an astringent ,cleansing  and helping to reduce congestion on your skin. ACV breaks down all the oils from your skin surface as well as exfoliate all the dead skin cells. ACV contains fruit acids therefore its a natural resurfacing agent.

Apple Cider Vinegar

I usually take 2 tbsp of Aztec clay (It is a fine greenish powder and is unscented) and mix it with around 1/2 tsp ACV and 1/tsp water to make a fine paste. When the clay first comes in contact with water or ACV it creates a bubbly fizz therefore making it really easy to mix and form into a paste. I then apply the paste all over my face and around my neck area. It is very important to let the mask dry completely so leave it on for around 10 minutes. When the mask dries down that is when the 'magic' begins.You start feeling the tightening and pulling sensation and it feels like your face is pulsating . The feeling is subtle and not alarming. It feels like the mask is doing its job and feel a lot of activity happening. To remove the mask you just need to wash it off with warm water. Slight redness of the skin is normal and will dissapear after about half an hour.

The Fine Paste.

This is a great mask to apply around 3 hours before an important even because it refreshes,cleans and clarifies your skin. It also gives you a lifting effect and you can feel your face tightened and definately looks younger.

After washing and drying my face, I find my face gets taut and a bit dry.This mask can be drying so you need to ensure that you apply your favorite Face moisturizer soon afterwards. I finish off the facial with Thursday Plantation Rose Hip Oil.

The Rose hip oil adds in moisture to my skin and further helps to keep my skin in good health. I also love it as it helps to reduce acne scars as well as even out pigmentation.

I have been applying this mask/Rose-hip combo for twice a week for a month and I am loving the results. My face is less congested and also my acne has improved heaps. I haven't noticed any new pimples since the last three weeks which is a really good thing . My skin-tone has also improved and I feel my face looks radiant.
